Providing confidential and professional psychological services
Specialised Range of Services
Offering psychological treatment for a range of mental health conditions and life issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, work injury or stress, relationship issues and separation, grief and loss, parenting issues, chronic illness, and other issues for adults, children and couples.
Referrals
Clients can be self referred and may be able to obtain a rebate from their private health fund.
A GP referral with a mental health plan allows a Medicare rebate to be paid.
Referrals may also be made by third parties such as MAIB, workers compensation.
Appointments
Appointments are usually for 50 minutes to 1 hour. You will be asked to complete a form detailing your contact details and other information. You will be given information about your rights, and an explanation about confidentiality. You are welcome to bring a support person.
Cancellations
We ask that you give us 24 hours notice of cancellation and rescheduling of appointments. This helps us make appointments available for other clients. A fee is applied if less than 24 hours notice is given.
Accounts
All accounts are payable at the end of each session. Payment can be made by eftpos, cash, or cheques. A rebate is payable if a GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan has been made, or you have private health fund cover for psychology.
Do we Bulk Bill?
This practice does not bulk bill except in exceptional circumstances. There is usually a gap fee, which is reduced if you have a health care card. Bulk billing is at the discretion of each psychologist.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Disclosure of information is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles of the Commonwealth Privacy Act (updated March 2014). The provision of psychological services is also governed by the Ethical Guidelines and Code of Conduct of the Australian Psychological Society.
